ニューヨークで仕事をする
アイスランドの噴火のため、今日の北欧便には多数の欠航が出た。ノルウェーの Jens Stoltenberg 首相も影響を受けた乗客のひとりだったとノルウェー紙 VG および Dagbladet が伝えている。「欠航のためニューヨークで仕事をする」と首相はコメントしたという。
The volcanic eruption in Iceland has lead to cancelled flights to and from Northern Europe today. According to Norwegian newspapers VG and Dagbladet, Norway’s Prime Minister, Jens Stoltenberg, is one of many who are affected. “Due to the delays, I’ll be working from New York”, Stoltenberg said in a comment.

発売延期もなんのその
アップルはその前日、生産が追いつかぬためヨーロッパにおける iPad の発売を延期した。しかし首相はまったくその影響を受けなかったように見える。
Despite yesterday’s news of Apple making a delay of their own, namely delaying the release of the iPad in Europe due to heavy U.S. demand, it doesn’t look like the Prime Minister will be affected by that one though.

首相府の掲載した写真［冒頭画像参照］を見れば、Stoltenberg 首相がニューヨークから彼の新しい iPad を使って「国務を遂行している」ことは明らかだ。これって iPad にとって素晴らしい宣伝じゃない？
