Efix

EFIX を覚えているだろうか。差し込んで使えば PC がマックなるという例のドングルだ。

どうやら EFIX が実際に出回り始めたらしい。

ハッカーサイトで何やら進行中だ。

すてきな宅急便が今日届いた。なんと「EFIX V1」だ。とりあえずその写真をアップする。すぐテストにとりかかるつもりだ。結果が出たらみんなに報告する。

Well today I had a nicely packaged FedEx parcel arrive at my door. Low and behold the EFIX V1. Right now are just some shots of the device itself, I will have testing underway as soon as possible and report back to everyone.

PC の場合、EFIX 一発で済むというわけにはいかないらしい。

はいっているマザーボード次第で、いろんな PC があるからだ。

目下 EFIX が使えるのは一定のマザーボードを搭載した PC に限られるようだ。（詳しくはこちら）

したがって、qbattersby のテスト対象となる PC の数もかなり多いということになる。

[EDIT] I have officially tested the device with one of my motherboards “MSI G965M” and the device will not even boot, I still have a Gigabyte and Asus board to still test. I will post back as soon as possible. I would have provided a video of the failed test but it is kinda irrelevant since nothing happened, just flashing cursor. [EDIT]

牢破りして（jailbroken）使っている iPhone は、iPhone SDK によるアプリが発表されたときどうなるのだろうか。

牢破りしてでも使う価値のあるアプリのリストを Lifehacker が掲げている一方で、マックワールド誌の Dan Moren はつぎのようにいっている。

自分はというと、現時点ではまだ牢破りした iPhone を使っている。冒頭に掲げたようなきれいなスクリーンショットを撮れるのはそれしかないというのが主たる理由だ。次のアップグレードでは本来のファームウェアアップデートをするだろう。アップルないしはサードパーティからスクリーンショットを撮れるものが出るかもしれないから。もしそうでなかったら、そのときは真っ直ぐ牢屋へ逆戻りだ！

Personally, I still have my iPhone jailbroken at this point—largely because it’s the only way I can bring you quality screenshots like the one here. I’ll likely revert to the default firmware for the next upgrade, but who knows if Apple will let me (or a third-party) enable the screenshot function in the future? If not, it may be back to jail I go.
